I love my community in Fresno and it is my mission to leave it even better than I found it.

Here are a few of the many community projects I have had the pleasure to be a part of:

COVID-19 Equity Project, African American Coalition

  • Community driven efforts to lessen the impact and slow the spread of Covid-19 in some of Fresno’s most vulnerable populations

Southwest Fresno Plan

  • A specific city plan targeted to combat the poverty and environmental issues that plague the community of Southwest Fresno

Fresno Freedom School

  • A local community-based organization that supports and educates Black youth about Black Agriculture by providing hands-on experiences at planting, cultivating, and harvesting their own fresh organic produce.

Fresno Foodways

  • A multi-faceted Anthropological project aimed at highlighting the work and experiences of immigrant, refugee, diasporic cooks, and food entrepreneurs

Teen + Young Parent Chat

  • Support group designed to connect with young parents and improve their relationship with the experience of parenthood

Doula For the Community

  • Free Doula program that is aimed at ensuring that finances are not the basis of inadequate support for pregnant and recently pregnant people.
